Materials Used In Activities

I always encourage teachers to use what they have or use what’s cheap. However, there are always teachers who would like to locate specific items that I may have used in activities. So I created a list below to help. Just click on any highlighted text to see where I secured various items.

  • 1 dice (use different types of dice to differentiate this activity)
  • Miniature eggs
  • 2 egg tongs (I got bunny ones at Walmart)
  • Basket or thematic buckets

15.Every Bunny Loves To Count Carrots

  • Carrot erasers (I found some at Target’s Dollar spot) or you could use carrot buttons from the January Snowman activities, small carrot manipulatives,  orange pompoms or whatever you can find)

16.One More Carrot

  • Self-correcting cards printed on cardstock, laminated and secured with a clothes pin.

21.Rainy Spring Number Bonds Self Correcting

  • Self-correcting missing addend cards
  • Spring Number Bonds playing mats (one for each player)
  • Tongs
  • Raindrops (use flat marbles, foam raindrop shapes, buttons, or blue rhinestones)

22.Spring Sticker Count

  • Sticker recording sheet printed on paper. One for each child. (There are two to choose from.)
  • One sheet allows students to trace and total up all the stickers used.
  • One sheet allows you to place a specific sticker next to a box. Students use those three types to outline the template and then count up the individual stickers of each type and record the number next to the sticker in the box.
  • Small thematic stickers or any small stickers you can find.

23.Some Bunny Loves Addition

  • Spring stickers, stamps or paper punches
  • Glue sticks
  • Addition booklet (included in this packet)
  • There are equations from 0-5 and others from 5-10. Select and print off the pages you wish to include, staple and cut in half.

  • Dice (It’s easy to differentiate this activity just by changing the number or type of dice you use.)

27.Spring Cut and Thread Straws

  • Yarn with taped ends for easier threading or ribbon
  • Spring colored pastel straws (I found some fun springy ones at Walmart.)

28.Springtime Constructing Letters and Words

  • Transparent pastel flat marbles or spring themed transparent table scatter (I found some at Hobby Lobby with egg shapes including some butterflies and flowers.  I’m going to use just the egg shapes for this month and hold on to the flowers and butterflies for May.)
  • Springtime Letter or Word Cards
  • Light Table (optional)

29.Spring Container Count

  • Small Dollar mini white Surerite containers with your choice of a springtime item. (I’m painting baby chicks on mine.) You can also use the Dollar Tree Chick containers if you prefer.
  • Paint pens to paint the item on lids or you can use printable labels
  • Small egg erasers (I found mine at Target), buttons, beads, pompoms or jellybeans.
  • Recording mat printed on cardstock and laminated

30.Spring Container Add

  • Small dollar store containers. (You could also use the Dollar Tree Bunny containers if you prefer.)
  • Springtime manipulatives (You could use buttons, pompoms, mini erasers or beads.)
  • Recording sheet printed on cardstock and laminated. I have given you a couple of different options. One has bunnies and eggs, another has bunnies and carrots and another has pink and blue bunnies.  If you ct find bunny manipulatives, you can always use pompoms as bunny tails.

31.Rainy Day Gold Lowercase/Capital Matching Puzzles

  • Small sensory bin with fun thematic filler.  ( I use polypropylene beads, erasers, table scatter.)
  • Capital/Lowercase Letter puzzles printed on one color of cardstock, laminated and cut apart.

  • Flat blue glass marbles programmed with letters of your choice using paint pens or round stickers.
  • One editable playing mat per student at the station with your selected letters (Included in this set.)
  • Tongs
  • Sensory bin with seasonal items (optional)

37.April  Sight Word Match Up

  • Flat blue glass marbles that are programmed with sight words of your choice.
  • One editable playing mat per student at the station with your selected sight words. (Included in this set.)

38.Unlock Spring

  • Small sensory box
  • ( I use polypropylene beads, erasers, table scatter.)
    • Thematic items including poly beads, spring confetti, spring tables scatter.
  • Fun thematic tongs or chopsticks
  • Several differently keyed lock and key sets. I buy mine individually from discount and dollar stores. Do not buy a ‘lot’ of keys as they will be keyed all the same way.  You can also ask parents to donate any old, unused locks and keys.  It’s a great way to assure they aren’t all keyed the same way.
  • Key fobs/tags with labeling capability.

39.Feed Your Bunny Math

  • Math equation carrots (included in this set)
  • Sensory bin with dried green peas or other thematic items.
  • Bunny chalkboard clips (I found mine at Walmart.  If you can not find these, I have included bunny heads with numbers 0-10 on them. Cut these out and place them on bucket or box so students can feed the bunny thru the mouth.)

40.Egg-cellent Word Practice

  • Plastic eggs. Place a heavy magnet and non-harding modeling clay in the bottom. This will make the egg stand up on the cookie sheet. Place a letter on each egg for spelling sight words.
    • Heavy magnet disc.

  • Word cards from Activity 1
  • Cookie sheet to hold letter eggs
