This is a differentiated fluency activity tiered by offering phrase from Dolch Lists 1-11. Students spin a the spinner (or you could use a coin for them to drop on the board if you prefer), find a phrase with the corresponding color and read it. If it is read correctly, they can mark that space with their marker. The student with the most game pieces in play at the end of the time period is the winner. By having all these lists, you will be able to offer your students the perfect level of challenge to allow for optimal learning. As students become more proficient, you can offer more challenging phrase boards.
