Finding and new and exciting ways to practice sight words is never easy, but with these Pet Themed Dot by Dauber by Sight Word pages, your students will love reading their sight words. The best part is that these printables allow you to enter the words that are perfect for your students. You are no longer limited by someone else’s lists.
All you need to do is supply daubers (or watercolor paints or markers) and your students are ready to ‘work.’

Programming the sight words into the printables in the packet is very easy. First please make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Adobe Reader onto your computer. Once you have completed that, please reboot your computer. Now go in and make sure you have saved the Editable Dab a Dot file onto your computer. Go to that saved file and right-click on the file name. There will be a prompt to ‘Open Using . . .’ or something similar to that. You should select ‘Adobe Reader.’ Now go to each page and enter the words you would like to have included. These words will automatically populate onto the I color by code printable pages.
Teacher instructions:
Choose the sight words you would like to use for each page and enter them next to the dots at the top of each page. The words will automatically populate into the picture. All spaces are automatically sized so that words will fit into each space. Students will use the code to ‘dot’ the appropriate according to the code on each space. If you don’t have daubers, don’t worry. Students can use markers to color the dots or watercolor paints. Either way, they will love making their picture.
