This product is aligned to the following Common Core Standards :

K.OA.A.5:  Fluently add and subtract within 5Teachers: You will find a total of four different I-Spy activities (both addition and subtraction are included in this packet). Each skill has two levels of difficulty for differentiating. One tier addresses addition and subtraction through 5. The other tier addresses addition and subtraction through 10. Each has two different colored and black/white recording sheets from which you can choose. Choose an I-Spy mat for your students based on their level of readiness. Supply your students with a magnifying glass and a dry erase marker if you are laminating these pages. If you are using paper copies, all you need is a magnifying glass and a pencil. Students will use the magnifying glass to search for number sentences. When they find one, they can circle it on the mat to keep track of which ones they have already found. Then they record the sentence in the appropriate location on their recording sheet. When my students have completed this activity once (usually on a laminated sheet), I give them the option of timing themselves to see how quickly they can complete the task on a paper copy. This helps with fluency. I also use the black and white copies as homework pages from time to time.
