Station 1: We Love Self Correcting Addition and Subtraction. This self-correcting activity includes two tiers for addition to 5 and 10 and two tiers for subtraction to 5 and to 10. This station is independent with self-correcting playing cards.

Station 2: Sweetheart Spin and Win. This activity is an addition and subtraction activity with two tiers each. Tier one is to five and tier two is to 10. There are two separate spinners for addition and 2 spinners for subtraction. Each tier has 2 BLACK/WHITE coloring sheets for a total of 8 coloring pages for this activity.

Station 3: Sweet Love Bug Bump. There are two different tiered mats for this activity. Players use one or two dice for this game depending on readiness. There are also BLACK/WHITE COPIES if you choose to use this as a roll and cover game.

Station 4: Count, Graph, Tally and Making 10 Sweets. Two counting mats are available to extend this activity. Based on your students readiness determine whether they complete the tally, graph or making 10 recording sheets. (Available in BLACK AND WHITE.)

Stations 5: Love Bug Roll Say Keep: Use 2D/3D, tens and ones cards or numerals along with some ‘fun’ cards to make this activity differentiated and appealing for all your students.

Station 6: Counting On Love: Use Roll Say Keep Love Bug number cards to count and identify numbers that come before and after. BLACK AND WHITE and colored recording sheets available.

Station 7: Lovey Bears Memory: Play like traditional memory.

Station 8: Lovey Bears Linking Numbers: Link number cards (1-100 available) by 1s, 2s, 5s or 10s depending on the skills your students need to master.

Station 9: Love Notes: Number recognition. Can be tiered for numbers up to 100 (extra cards available for practicing tally marks or tens frames.)

Station 10: Lovey Bears Number Order Fun: Using the same Lovey Bear cards students randomly select numbers and place them in order. There are two options to place them in order from smallest to biggest or biggest to smallest. Number lines are included on the recording sheet. There is a colored recording sheet or a BLACK AND WHITE version.

Station 11: Sweet Spin and Win: Numeral cards, ten frame cards and tally mark cards are available to help differentiate this number comparison game.

Station 12: Loving Valentine’s Making 10 (or 20) Play-doh Mats: Students practice making numbers at this kinesthetic station while working on ‘making 10 (or 20) skills.’ There is also a BLACK AND WHITE version in case you would like students to color and stamp numbers into their ten frames.

Station 13: Sizing-up Valentine’s Day: Students use standard and non-standard measurement in this fun Valentine’s measurement game. BLACK AND WHITE recording sheets available.

K.CC.A.1: Know number names and sequence. Can count to 100 by 1’s.
K.CC.A.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
K.CC.A.3 Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
K.CC.B.4 Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
K.CC.B.5: Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle
K.CC.C.6: Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies.
K.CC.C.7: Can compare two written numerals between 1-10.
K.OA.A.2: Solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g., by using objects or drawings to represent the problem.
K.OA.A.4:  For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record the answer with a drawing or equation.
K.OA.A.5: Fluently add and subtract to five.
K.NBT.A.1: Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each composition or decomposition by a drawing or equation (such as 18 = 10 + 8); understand that these numbers are composed of ten ones and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones
