So you think you know DI . . . how about a little pre-assessment and a freebie.

Anyone who knows differentiated instruction knows that pre-assessement and instruction go hand in hand.  So how about a fun little pre-assessment to find out just how much you know about the subject.  I promise, no one is looking so if you get an answer wrong there won’t be anyone standing by with a red pen to mark your paper with a big check.  Who knows, you might even surprise yourself about all that you know.

And I promise when you’re all done, you can scroll on down and grab a little freebie as your gold star.
Just hit play (the answers should be hidden if you just scroll down for each one)  and ask yourself if its TRUE or FALSE. Simple!

So tell me, it wasn’t so bad was it.  I’m sure you got all them right and are a differentiating champ, but incase you got one or two wrong, it might be helpful to consider

Ok you’ve worked hard enough.  You deserve a little something for all that.  So here it is.  It’s nothing too fancy but there are three different write the room sheets to keep your learners moving this spring.

I just love that you focus on differentiation. It amazes me how many people teach one thing to the whole class all the time or focus on ability grouping to meet the needs of all their kids. Of course, I’m not perfect, but I always have it in my mind to meet the needs of all the kids while working together regardless of “ability level”. Thanks for your tips to make it easier to do so!

Thanks Angela. It means alot to mean to know that there are teachers out there that ‘get it.’ I know it’s tough. Believe me. I’m no expert either but I just keep moving forward and try to improve a little everyday.

I agree with Angela… differentiation is tough, but so valuable! I had a hard time with it last year, but this year is getting better thanks to your insight!
