Back To School With Guess Who? Kathie from The Diary of a Not So Wimpy Teacher.
All good things must come to and end and Back To School With Guess Who? is no exception. Please help me welcome Kathie from The Diary of a Not So Wimpy Teacher as she closes up this year’s Back To School With Guess Who?
Hi everyone! My name is Kathie from The Diary of a Not So Wimpy Teacher. I am excited to share my guest post with Marsha today. I hope you find my tips on creating a Back to School Time Capsule helpful! Teachers can do this with their students and parents can do this with their children. : )
- Begin by choosing a date you would like to open the time capsule.
- Decide where you are going to store them.
- Give students ample time to collect the items that they will be adding to their capsules.
- Choose the container that you will be using to serve as the capsule.
- Pictures of the student (with family, playing with their favorite toy, visiting their favorite place, etc.)
- Label from their favorite snack or food
- A list of 10 things under a dollar
- The URL for their favorite website
- An All About Me survey
- Current newspaper article (i.e. an article about the 2012 Summer Olympics)
- Current footprint and handprint
- A self-portrait
- A recent ticket stub (movie, concert, etc.)
- A list of predictions (i.e I think__________________ will be elected for president in November 2012)
- Potato chip container
- Oatmeal container
- Plastic/ cardboard pencil case
- Coffee can
- Any type of canister with a lid
