Meet our reindeer feet . . .

I’m gonna tell you straight up. I only went into school for maybe 45 minutes this morning to do a little work on our parent holiday gift, and promptly left as soon as I was done.  I just didn’t have it in me to be in a quiet dark elementary school this morning and I’m sure many of you are feeling the same.  My heart is broken for Sandy Hook Elementary’s teachers, families, students and community.  There are no words. 


But while I was there in my room this morning,  I was successful in completing our parent gifts.  I the one thing I absolutely needed to do.

I just only changed them a bit by using ceramic tile (super cheap at home depot by the way) and adding a date and name to them.  I slap some modge podge on them for protection and also stick those little felt circles on the back so they won’t scratch a table top or counter when being use.  I’ve been doing them for years and they are always a hit.  

For those of you that are already off for the holidays, enjoy and for those of you who still have a few more days (I still have 5), plan on enjoying them and having some extra fun with your kiddos this week.  I know I am.  And although I have quite a few products and freebies started, I’m spending the rest of my day snuggling up my own three little boys, ordering pizza in, starting a fire and just playing board games and watching movies.  The snow has just started to fall again in Northern Michigan so I’m feeling like a large mug of hot cocoa with whip cream will also be on the agenda.
