Presenting . . . Differentiated Instruction!! A giveaway! My One Month Blogiversary And other random stuff!

Really I haven’t been monkeying around . . . I really have been working.
I’ve been crazy busy these last couple of days getting ready for a presentation that my differentiating kindergarten neighbor Kerri and I made to student teachers at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant,Michigan this morning. Go Chips!
Thanks to everyone who came to check us out and learn more about this HOT topic.  It’s always great to meet new teachers who have their whole career ahead of them and are exciting about the teaching profession.
On to more interesting things . . .
have you checked my friend Julie’s site over at Make Take Teach.
She’s like an RTI superstar but her blog yesterday is all about chalkboard vinyl and how you might use it in your classroom.  If you’re using it in yours, go over and drop her a line and tell her how.  I’m so glad so posted about this wonderful product because I use it everywhere and it has made my life so much easier, especially with students moving in and out.
Check out how I use it in my class . . .
Mailboxes . . . kid moves out . . .wipe off . . .kid moves in . . .write a new name . EASY!!!
Coat Hooks! Wipe off . . .Write On!!
For classroom management, I use a behavior tree with monkeys.  They are labeled with students’ names on chalkboard vinyl so again, if they move out and another moves in . . .
I just write a new name on a monkey.
I use the same kind of things for my lunch choice characters.

It’s so EASY!
Finally in this post of randomness . . . I want to let you know about a GIVEAWAY going on over at Kindergarten Lifestyles where you can win one of my and several other teacher friend’s items. Make sure you check it out.
Another thing . . .
Today is my ONE MONTH BLOG-iversary!  I can’t believe the fun I’ve had doing this and want to thank everyone following me and all the other great bloggers out there who have been so gracious and kind.
Ok, now I’m off to make leprechaun traps for my boys and prepare for all kinds of mischief including my infamous leprechaun feet . . .
Happy St. Patrick’s Day
