Here is a rhyming activity that allows for fine motor and phonemic practice. Laminate the bug pages and cut out bugs. Feel free to put these bugs in your sensory table with Easter grass or in a simple bug box or basket. To make this activity more engaging for your students, glue foamy bugs or stickers to the ends of clothes pins. When students find two pictures that rhyme, they pin them together with their bug catcher. To make this self correcting, you can place matching letters or numbers on the backs of the bugs so that once all bugs are clipped, students can check their work.
