This Differentiated Write the Room Subtraction Activity not only appeals to your kinesthetic learners and is tiered to meet the readiness levels of all your students, it also address Common Core K.OA.5 – Fluently add and subtract to 5.
This write the room activity has three tiers to address learners just beginning to subtract (to 5), those who have advanced beyond basic subtraction and need a bit more challenge (to 10) and those who are working well beyond the Common Core standard (to 20). Each tier has two sets of subtraction cards that can be posted around your room for students to ‘find’ and solve. The two sets of subtraction cards will allow you to extend your students learner and use this activity several times.
