This I-Spy addition activity is tiered to meet the various readiness levels of your students and addresses Common Core Standards in Math for K-2 as well.
Kindergarten. OA.5 Fluently add and subtract within 5.
Grade 1.OA.6 Add and subtract within 20 demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
Grade 2.OA.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20.

Teachers: There are three different tiers included in this packet. Tier one addresses addition through 5, tier two addresses addition through 10 and tier three addresses addition through 20. Each tier has its own recording sheet. You can choose between colored (laminate and use with dry erase markers) or black and white for use with a pencil. Students will use magnifying glasses to ‘spy’ for addition problems, when they find the problem, they will write the number sentence next to its’ answer. There is a number line included at the bottom of each recording sheet for convenience.
