Who wants a fabulous bag from Jo Totes?

Several weeks ago, I decided I needed to make some major changes to my blog and  blogging.  When I started this journey of blogging, I didn’t know anything about the right way to blog, how to design a blog or what it should look like.  I threw some paper up and took some pictures with my phone and started writing.  It’s worked out fine for the past year and a half, but I really think you guys deserve better.  So I’m making some changes.  Slowly . . . but surely.

The first thing I decided is that I needed to have an actual camera to take REAL pictures of activities and ideas.  I’m no photographer by any means, but with a little help from my bestest Michigan blogging buddy, Maria, from Kinder-Craze, I’m slowly getting acquainted with my new little Rebel.  I knew I needed something that would allow me to take aesthetically pleasing pictures but also be easy enough for this old dog to learn without too many tears of frustration.

I placed my ordered but then remembered . . . I don’t have a camera bag.  Seriously!  This was a dilemma.  Everyone knows how we teachers feel about our bags.  If you want to get into a deep philosophical question with a teacher, start talking about the perfect bag.  I had strong feelings about a camera bag.  It had to be functional but cute.  It needed to be big enough to carry my camera, but also have the ability to carry all those other ‘necessities of my teaching life . . .a phone, sunglasses, water bottle, notebook and possibly a tablet (Dear Santa, I’ve been a good girl this year.  Really!  Can’t you just slip a little i-Pad in your bag for me?) Too much to expect from a camera bag?  Not if you’re Jo Totes.

This fabulous company not only has camera bags that are so functional, but AMAZINGLY cute to boot.  And they sent me one to review . . . along with the chance for you to get one for your own.

But first about my bag . . . There was so many choose from, but I finally settled on the Betsy in Mustard.

You really need to see all the styles you have to choose from at their Jo Totes Online Store.  It’s a amazing.  I struggled for days  . . . did I want the brown or the mustard or maybe the black.  Finally, I choose this beauty as it just ‘fit’ my personality. I’m generally not a ‘yellow’ girl but the mustard color was to gorgeous…I knew it was ‘the one.’

The bag has so many wonderful little extras.  I just have to share.  You can see there are some little pockets sneaking out.  These are my favorite things.

They are the perfect size for your phone, school id, keys or sunglasses.

And they stay shut with a small hidden magnet that keeps your goodies from escaping.

Another little hidden storage space is right in the front flap.

Believe it or not, they were so smart at Jo Totes that they places a zipper on the flap so you can use that typically wasted space for papers, a wallet or small note pad.

There’s another zipped compartment on the back of the bag for larger items to slip in safely.  Tickets, a wallet, or even a book fits nicely.

The bag has so many extra, aesthetic features that make it so appealing.  Your strap is connected with these sturdy, attractive clamps that make it easy to switch your long, across your body strap for a short over the shoulder one quickly (both straps are included with your bag so you have a choice based on what you’re doing).

There are also these little toggles that make it easy to quickly zip and unzip when you need to have access to your valuables immediately.

The bag itself is made from top quality faux-leather.  It is very durable and easy to wipe right off if something gets on it.   The inside has a compartment that will hold a large notebook or even a 13 inch laptop.

It is constructed of padded nylon

and comes with three separators so you can custom design the inner compartments as you need.  I have a spot for my camera, a spot for my water and charger and then an extra spot for other ‘goodies.’ Which when you’re a mom of three boys, that usually means an extra baseball, Pokemon cards or several Hot Wheels.

I love the fact that when I walk around with my bag, it never fails, I always have someone say ‘I just love your purse.’  No one even realizes its a camera bag.  It’s fabulous.

And the best news I have is that you could win a gift certificate to get a bag just like mine or one of your choosing by entering, not just one giveaway, but two.  That’s right.  Jo Totes is allowing not only me, but also Maria, from Kinder-Craze, to each giveaway a gift certificate so you can get your own Jo-Totes bag.  That means by heading over to Maria’s blog after finish my entries, you will have two times the chances to win.
