I know that the calendar has announced that ‘It’s Spring.’ But as I look out my deck window, I still see three feet of snow. Will it never leave?
I’ve decided that the only way to make Spring come is to WILL it to come.So I’m going all out and getting my spring on.I’m starting with No Fuss No Muss I Spy Math Fun for Spring.
My kindersneed a little breath of fresh SPRING to get them through this last week before break. This packet has so many extension pieces and is so completely differentiated, that it can literally last until the end of the school year.
Just print and add magnifying glasses. (Everyone always asks what kind of magnifying glasses I use so I included a link here. These are 10 for $13.95, but you can see they are just the cheap plastic kind. But they work great.)
Lord knows, it might just take until June for all the snow to melt in Michigan. So I anticipate getting a lot of use out of this one.
I don’t like products I can use only one time so I don’t make products that you can use only one time. This set has two I-Spy playing mats for each skill and several recording sheets from which you can use to differentiate and extend learning.
This is everything that is included JUST for number recognition. There are also skills for Teen Numbers, Numbers Greater than 20, Addition to 5, Addition to 10, Subtraction from 5 and Subtraction from 10.
. . .and within these are a plethora of recording sheets. A list of everything is included here.
Students find the teeny tiny numbers or problems hidden in the pictures and record their answers on their recording sheets.

And pray for an early spring in Michigan. I’m getting sick of all this snow.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a full-time kindergarten teacher, I’m committed to creating a classroom where learning is joyful, engaging, challenging, and fun. Each day, I work to ensure that my students feel successful through instruction that considers their unique interests, learning profiles, and readiness levels. I believe that students should be excited to come to class and enjoy a myriad of hands-on activities that encourage exploration and discovery.
While I continue to teach full-time, I find so much joy in connecting and building friendships with teachers worldwide. It’s why I started this blog back in 2012. My hope has become a reality as I have been able to forge relationships with teachers, sharing ideas and building friendships beyond my little neck of the woods through professional development sessions and this blog.
So by all means, take some time to look around and explore A Differentiated Kindergarten. Gather some new ideas, fun tips, and most importantly, don’t forget to reach out and say, ‘Hi!’
